Hull Rupture Despot's Chamber: Role and Module Kits

Quick answer

The Despot's Chamber is the ship's final protected objective: if Despot reaches 0 HP, the run ends. It also produces free module kits, and more workers in the chamber produce more kits. Staff it with spare humans once the Reproducer and energy loop are stable, collect the finished kit, and keep a turret or combat-unit fallback in front of the room.

Quick answer

The Despot’s Chamber is the ship’s final protected objective. Aliens land on the outer hull, pass through the Airlock and the interior, and try to reach the chamber. If the aliens reduce Despot to 0 HP, the run ends immediately.

That makes the chamber both a worker room and the last defensive checkpoint. You can staff it for output, but you cannot treat it as a safe economy room with no defense.

Why it matters

The chamber is the reason the rest of the ship exists. Every turret, corridor, and fallback layer is ultimately buying time for the chamber to survive the wave.

When the chamber is under attack, pull the defense back to the Airlock and the inner rooms. Do not leave the final room undefended while chasing one more kit.

Module kit output

The chamber produces module kits. The more humans working there, the more kits it produces. The kits are random and produced slowly, but they are free.

This is a slow economy, not a replacement for the shop. Use it to fill gaps when the shop has not supplied the resource or module you need. A future change may increase the chance of an Uncommon-resource module when the shop has not supplied one; that improvement is not part of the current live behavior.

How many workers?

Early in a run, a worker in the chamber is a worker not producing energy or building the next room. Once the Reproducer and energy loop are stable, a few chamber workers can turn surplus population into free modules.

Start with a small staff and watch the rest of the ship. If energy is capping or construction is stalled, the chamber has too many workers. If the population is growing and every other room is staffed, move the surplus into the chamber.

Collect the kit

The chamber’s output is not just a passive number. Check the room after a wave; a kit that has not been collected cannot help your build.

Defense around the chamber

Keep a combat-unit or turret fallback in front of the chamber. The Airlock is the first fallback, but it is not the only one. If a fast enemy or boss gets through, the inner rooms are the last chance to stop it.

Treat the chamber as a protected production room after the early economy is stable. Use spare humans there, collect the produced kit, and keep the final room defended.
